Potter > Moyes

Look at the shit he has in his squad. Improves every player he works with.

Re: Moyes
yes you have to be happy at where we are compared to 2 years ago, but YES we do need to add players and we are doing a very bad job on that score.

Re: Moyes
Fuck me the knicker-setters are out in force. We now want to sack Moyes if what, we don’t make top 4?

Leeds was poor, but we’ve beaten them twice this year, and we were pretty much equal to what is still a decent side away at old trafford.

We need to add players to be competitive at that level.

Re: Moyes
Potter has done well at Brighton, but a look closer and its only 6 wins from 22..........they are the draw experts and quite a few of those have been last gasp equalisers not least against us!

Cant see for the life of me why anyone would want Potter over Moyes???

Re: Moyes
All I here is Potter

But he wont amount to anything in this managerial lark imo

Re: Moyes
I’m curious as to who those that want Moyes gone would want him replaced with?

Not like there is a load of high quality proven PL managers looking for work, so just who “realistically” would you like to see come in.

All very well saying thanks but can you fuck off now please, WHO could we get that is better???

Re: Moyes
Hits 90 mins at OT and you are succeeding in your game plan to try and sneak a four 0-0 out of it (that was most definitely the plan).

You have 2 subs left. Rather than kill 60 seconds of the game by bringing on a sub in the 90th minute and 92nd minute, which is completely in your hands, you watch what transpired and then blame the players for being naïve and not being professional enough to see out in the game, whilst totally absolving yourself.

He's not perfect and there's room for improvement.

Re: Moyes
I agree on Johnson, I genuinely think he brought Fredricks on cos he is the quickest out the 2. Problem is the cunt is pretty shit at everything else

Re: Moyes
The owners just dither and don't encourage or support the team.

That's 2 years we have been around 4th and they just don't act and push us any further, it's fucking frustrating and they need to step aside for someone that will.

I've seen a few comments about Coufal and I for one was never impressed, didn't think he was good enough

RoyalDocksGK 10:25 Sun Jan 23
Re: Moyes
What was wrong with Ben Johnson then ? Again, his choices of subs he makes has been very questionable of late. Yarmolenko coming on for 4 seconds earlier on in January. Laughable.

Stowie.40 9:13 Sun Jan 23
Re: Moyes
He made that sub straight after they brought Rashford on didn’t he? To be fair Rashford tore Coufal a new arsehole last season at the Bowl, breezing past him at will so probably thought least Fredricks can run fast.

Re: Moyes
Coufal was f-cking dreadful yesterday, he gave them a huge chance early on with a square pass across the back four, gave a dumb foul away just outside our box and was just poor, yes i know Fredericks in not the greatest of replacements but Coufal needed to come off.

Re: Moyes
Can you not see Moyes is building something here , he has done wonders , but the team has its limitations . and n one is more aware of that than DM...

i cant beleive im going to say this... but its true where Dm is concerned 'Trust the process ..' we are heading in the right direction.

Here we go: a few disappointing results and off with the manager’s head. Even though I respect views of others, this is a silly post.

Re: Moyes
I can understand him not wanting to bring in unknown punts, but there is rarely such a thing as a 'surething' when buying footballers as a guy like Shevchenko proved when he went to Chelsea all those years ago.

Our squad can't get worse with the signings suggested since he has zero trusted options currently anyway.

I do wonder if you asked him about players he has rejected who have since moved to other teams and had some impact, like Daka, if he'd acknowledge he clearly doesn't know what he's talking about.

His dithering is costing us points, money (in league placings) and quite likely will end up costing us Rice.

He's been great for us, but his faults are significant and at some point we'll need to move on from him to keep progressing.

I mean look at him at Man Utd. All that esteem and club pulling power, and he went and signed Fellaini.

Re: Moyes
Yep he’s not above criticism and we’ve all got the hump about yesterday but we’d do well to remember that we’re sitting 5th in the league.

Perfect summary of where we are. Moyes is a good fit for a team with our owners and budget

ATHammer 7:33 Sun Jan 23
Re: Moyes
Like many I was completely underwhelmed when he came back. I doubted him, his ambition, and his ability to manage big players. His ability to manage big players remains in doubt. What can't be denied is that he has done a fantastic job with the tools at his disposal. I am prepared to admit I was wrong. The players have responded and most signings worked out, albeit they are workmanlike, solid performers. The problem now is that expectations have been raised. Our first team is as good as any on their day. The first team, Rice and Bowen excepted, are starting to wear out though through constantly playing competitive games, our reserves are generally not up to it and the youngsters not trusted. The real problem is the parsimony of our ownership. As long as Sullivan is the majority owner there will always be bullshit around tirelessly seeking the right players, backing the manager, etc. and fuck all incoming payers to refresh, challenge and grow into a real top 6 team. If Moyes fails with an injection of new players, then fair enough, get rid, right now he has exceeded expectations with little backing from the owners. Hopefully the Czech will sort this, but hope is dangerous for West Ham supporters as we all know.
